thyssenkrupp is implementing its steel strategy 20-30 and, thus, is investing in the sustainability of the steel business.

They plan to convert the Duisburg plant for direct strand reduction into a new conitnuous casting line with a downstream mainly new hot strip mill.

Also at the Bochum plant new investments are planned: a new two-high reversing stand and a new annealing- and insulating line shall be installed. Both objects will strengthen Bochum as a centre of competence for steels used in the field of electromobility.

METEX Group GmbH will support thyssenkrupp’s steel strategy 20-30 with the supply of a new roll grinding machine. This will be mainly used for grinding work- and intermediate rolls of the two-high reversing stand. METEX roll grinding machines „Made in Germany“ are customized. Due to the highly modern technical components, they fulfill highest quality standards.
